The Salt Barn is a small, intimate wedding venue in Dennis, Massachusetts. The property has been thoughtfully renovated to keep its historic charm and sits tucked away on the North Side of the Cape.

Most couples choose to hold their ceremony on the lawn. The backyard is lush, sprawling, and surrounded by trees. Totally private and tucked away. The courtyard sits between the lawn and the barn — a flexible space to use however you want.

Inside, original exposed beams stretch overhead. Hardwood floors add warmth, and art adorns the walls. This is where your closest people gather for dinner and dancing. The best kind of evening.

Head downstairs for cocktails in a wine cellar built from old stone. It’s rustic, moody, and feels a little like a hidden room in a castle.

For guests coming from out of town, Love Farms Lodge in West Dennis is a great option, with renovated rooms and a heated pool, just minutes from the venue. Pelham on Earle, a boutique hotel in West Harwich, is also nearby. Both are part of the Pelham Hospitality family.

How many guests can the Salt Barn accommodate?
The barn holds up to 90 guests for a seated dinner or 125 guests cocktail style. We’re happy to talk through the best setup for your guest count.
Is there a minimum guest count?
No, there’s no minimum. We host weddings of all sizes up to 125 guests (and we love working with smaller groups just as much as larger ones!).
Can we have a DJ or live band in the space?
Yes. The barn has enough power for a full band or DJ setup.Â
What's the rain plan for an outdoor ceremony?
The barn is a beautiful backup for outdoor wedding ceremonies. After the barn wedding ceremony, we usually invite guests down to the wine cellar for cocktails while we prepare the barn for your reception.
What's included in the venue rental?
Your rental includes a dedicated wedding coordinator, tables, chairs, linens, glassware, flatware, ceremony setup, full setup and breakdown, and day-of coordination. Our team also provides full catering and bar service. See the “What’s Included” section above for the full list.
Do you handle the catering, or can we bring our own caterer?
We handle all food and beverage in-house. Our culinary team works with you to design a custom menu for your wedding, including passed appetizers, dinner, wedding cake, and full bar service.
Can we bring our own florist, photographer, and other wedding vendors?
Yes. Florists, photographers, planners, DJs, bands, and other wedding professionals are your choice. You can bring your own or choose from our recommended vendor list. We coordinate with all of them on the day of your wedding.
Can we host our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here, too?
Absolutely. The Salt Barn is the perfect venue for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, bridal showers, and morning-after brunches. You can book any of these events separately, even if your wedding is at another venue.

We recommend Pelham on Earle and Love Farms Lodge. Both are nearby Pelham Hospitality properties.Â

Yes. There is on-site parking available for your guests.
What seasons is The Salt Barn open?
