About the Property
Our private wedding and event venue is in Dennis Village, on Cape Cod’s historic North Side. The building dates back to the early 1800s, and it’s been thoughtfully renovated to keep every bit of its character and charm. We host weddings, social celebrations, and corporate events from May through October.

The Salt Barn’s History
A Sea Captain’s Barn
In the early 1800s, Sea Captain Uriah Howe built the barn with post-and-beam construction and wood pulled from the Atlantic.
Generations on the Property
The Crowell family owned the home and barn for nearly a century.
An Artist’s Studio
In 1960, Cape Cod artist David Grose purchased the property and turned the barn into a gallery for his work. Art has been part of this building ever since.
A Careful Restoration
In 2008, Bob and Kathy Borsari purchased the property and began an elaborate, historically sensitive three-year renovation. They exposed the original pumpkin pine flooring, restored the post-and-beam structure, and preserved historic details. What started as an art gallery became something more — a warm, elegant venue for intimate events. Borsari Gallery hosted weddings and celebrations here for over 15 year
The Next Chapter
Beginning in 2027, Pelham Hospitality is bringing its planning, culinary, and event team to this space. The name will become The Salt Barn. Same care. New chapter.
